Day 1 - Hanoi: Arrival and city tour

A trip full of adventure, fun and intrigue awaits your arrival. On your arrival at the Hanoi International Airport, you will be met and greeted by a representative of the tour agent, who will escort you to your hotel as part of your Cambodia and Vietnam 8 days itinerary. On arrival at the hotel, check in and relax for a while. You have the remaining day at leisure, so you can spend it relaxing in the room or checking out the nearby attractions. Don’t forget to check out the night market, if you are here on a weekend. Or simply try the delicious local dishes available at stalls nearby.

Return to the hotel for the night.

Day 2 Hanoi: Exploration of Halong Bay

Today you get to spend a night on board a cruise ship, enjoying exploration of hidden caves and the emerald seawaters. So, finish up your breakfast and leave for Halong Bay via a scenic route. Stop at the much acclaimed Humanity Centre, and dig into a few local delicacies. After you arrive at Halong Bay, check into the cruise boat and relax for a while. You will be served with a delicious lunch, which is coupled with a cruise across some of the biggest and most amazing caves in the country.

After you are done with lunch, it is time to visit Surprise Cave, the biggest attraction here. After exploring the place to your heart’s content, it is time to enjoy an hour-long kayaking trip that takes you around the fishing village to take a look at the life of the locals. After having your fill of kayaking, it is time to enjoy a bout of swimming and the Sunset Party. Dinner will be served alongside, with barbecue dishes and local specialties. You can also participate in some fun games and activities on the boat, such as karaoke, squid fishing, star gazing and so on. Spend the night on the cruise boat, as part of your Vietnam itinerary

Day 3 Ho Chi Minh City: Arrival and en-route sightseeing

Today you get to explore one of the most beautiful cities of Vietnam

Enjoy a fresh fruit breakfast on board, after which you will be taken for a short cruise to a pearl farm. Here you get to see real pearls being cultivated by the local fishermen. Following this, the boat will take you to many of the smaller islands and islets. You also get to enjoy a cooking class to learn how to make authentic Vietnamese cuisine. You will be taken back to the pier, while having lunch, where you de-board and return to Hanoi, on this 1 night cruise Halong Bay.

After you arrive at Hanoi, you will be taken to the airport for taking your flight to Ho Chi Minh City. On arrival at Ho Chi Minh City, transfer to your hotel and relax for the night.

Day 4 - Ho Chi Minh City: City tour and Cu Chi Tunnels

One of the most intriguing parts of this trip is about to start

Today, you get to enjoy a trip to the Cu Chi Tunnels. After breakfast, leave for the city tour first. The first stop today would be the Notre Dame Cathedral, followed by visits to the historic Central Post Office and the Reunification Palace. You also get to visit the War Remnants Museum. After wrapping up this part of the tour, it is time to visit the Cu Chi Tunnels, which are located almost 60 km away from the city center.

Explore the 200 km of tunnels, which proved to be very important during the War. These tunnels functioned as underground cities, with rooms, hospitals and storage space. After you have explored the place to your heart’s content, you get to enjoy tea and cassava, like the guerrilla fighters used to, as part of this well planned Vietnam and Cambodia tour package. Return to the hotel in Ho Chi Minh City after wrapping up the trip, and spend the night at the hotel.

Day 5 - Ho Chi Minh City: Visit to My Tho and Ben Tre

Get set to take a look at the cultural heritage of the country

After a lovely breakfast at the hotel, it is time to leave for your tour to My Tho, via a road bordered by emerald green rice paddies. On arrival there, pay a visit to the Vinh Trang Pagoda, which is followed by a boat ride along the river past houses and shops on stilts. Next stop on this tour is at Tortoise Islet, where you will enjoy an al fresco lunch in the fruit orchard. Board another boat that will take you to An Khanh, where you can laze about and cruise along the natural canals, as part of this Vietnam itinerary.

You also get to enjoy some Southern Vietnamese folk music, performed by locals, and sample some of the most delicious natural honey tea and seasonal fruits that you have ever tasted. You will also get an opportunity to visit a family business to get a closer look at the rural lifestyle of the locals, and taste some coconut candy.

After a productive day spent enjoying the rural aspect of the country, it is time to return to your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City for the night.

Day 6 - Siem Reap: Arrival and tour of Angkor Wat

A grand tour of Siem Reap awaits you today

Today, you leave Vietnam for Cambodia, via an early flight. Check out of the hotel, and transfer to the airport for your flight. On arrival at Siem Reap, you will be taken to the Angkor Wat Complex. Cover attractions such as South Gate of Angkor Thom, Bayon temple complex, Terrace of Elephant, Terrace of the Leper King, Baphuon, Former Royal Palace, Phimeanakas and Sur Prat temple.

After wrapping up this tour, it is time to visit the actual Angkor Wat Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, as part of this Cambodia tour itinerary. The wall decals and sculptures here are sure to mesmerize you. Wrap up this tour for a final stop at the Phnom Bakheng Hill, for one of the most magical sunsets of your life. Check in at your hotel in Siem Reap for the night.

Day 7 Siem Reap: Visit to Ta Prohm and Banteay Srei

Enjoy a tour of some of the most famous attractions of Cambodia

Dig into your breakfast early in the morning, before leaving for another bout of sightseeing tour, on such Cambodia holidays. The first stop would be the Banteay Srei Temple, with its signature pink sandstone walls. The name of the temple can be translated into “The Citadel of Women”, and it was built by women of that period. Next, you get to visit Ta Prohm, perfectly preserved as an ancient ruin, and the site of Hollywood movie Tomb Raider. Here you get to see what happens when nature decides to reclaim what was rightfully hers. After wrapping up this tour, it is time to return to the hotel in Siem Reap for the night.

Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel, before being checking out and being transferred to the airport for your flight back home.
